Founded by Laura Robertson, Hamesford Ltd is a small, approachable and experienced interior design studio based in West Sussex, known for elegant, inviting and comfortable interiors.
Always with a clear focus on the client’s brief, we are not confined by a ‘house style’, but are recognised for layering colour, pattern and texture and combining antiques with contemporary pieces to create a beautiful and timeless home while also respecting the client’s needs and keeping to the architectural integrity of each space.
Hamesford Ltd has completed a broad range of residential projects both in London and the country.
Interior Design
Whether undertaking a full property refurbishment or consulting and sourcing for a smaller redecoration and styling project, we work closely with our clients and look to bring value to them from the outset.
We like to be involved early on in a project and are happy working in conjunction with architects and contractors. We design all rooms including bathrooms and kitchens and look in depth at the practicalities and functionalities of each space to ensure the best layout and flow. We also advise on lighting and electrical layouts which are integral to getting the very best from an interior scheme.
When it comes to the decorative elements, we look at the furniture, finishes, lighting, window treatments through to artwork and accessories. We will happily work with a client’s existing furniture and art collection but also relish the opportunity to start with a blank canvas.
Art and Antiques Advisory
Hamesford’s Art and Antiques advisory is also available as a separate entity. Sourcing antique and contemporary furniture, art and decorative pieces from across the UK and Europe. All items are individually sourced so the quality is never compromised.
About us
Laura has over 20 years’ experience in the interiors and antiques world and has worked for high profile names including David Linley, Collection Pierre, Joanna Wood Interiors, Christie’s and renowned UK-based antiques dealer, James Graham-Stewart.
With her extensive experience and contacts, together with her passion for the market, she is perfectly placed to guide and assist clients through their interiors projects, however large or small.
Laura lives in West Sussex with her husband Charlie, also an interior and furniture designer, and their two daughters and much loved whippet.
